Client Update

At Internet Removals, we believe in keeping our clients as up to date as possible with the progress of their matters.

Below is a summary of the matter stages and their definitions. Please be advised that these stages are not final and are not necessarily indicative of the end result, rather the latest communication gained with respect to your matter. Furthermore, Internet Removals responds to each of the below within 24 hours of receiving such communication.

  1. Google (Search)
    1. Google: NO - this means Google has provided, in writing, their intention not to act on the reported content. Traditionally, Google provides communication along the lines of: "At this time, Google has decided not to take action. If you choose to pursue legal action against the individual who posted this information and that action results in a judicial determination that the material is illegal or should be removed, please send us the court order so that we can take appropriate action".
    2. Google: 3rd Party Host - this means Google has provided a response as follows: "We understand you are concerned about the content in question, but there is nothing that Google can do to remove content from third-party web pages. Google simply aggregates and organizes information published on the web; we don't control the content found in the pages you've specified. Even if we eliminated the page from our search results, it would still exist on the web. We encourage you to resolve any disputes directly with the owner of the website in question".
    3. Google: Webmaster - this means Google has provided a response as follows: "At this time, Google has decided not to take action on the reported URLs. We encourage you to resolve any disputes directly with the owner of the website in question".
  2. Google My Business (GMB)
    1. GMB: NO - this means that the GMB team has provided, in writing, their intention not to act on the reported content. Traditionally, Google provides communication along the lines of: "At this time, Google has decided not to take action. If you choose to pursue legal action against the individual who posted this information and that action results in a judicial determination that the material is illegal or should be removed, please send us the court order so that we can take appropriate action".
    2. GMB: 3rd Party Host - this means that the GMB tram has provided a response as follows: "Google My Business hosts third-party content. It is not a creator or mediator of that content. We encourage you to resolve any disputes directly with the individual who posted the content".

As you may know, in some cases Google/GMB will send the same communication repeatedly. As such, you may also receive multiple updates of a similar nature.

Should you require a further update, please do not hesitate to contact our team.
